sidewalks in the neighborhoods

I live in a nice neighborhood in Oak Hill ,VA. Caring for the environment , but mostly gas prices, have turned me and a lot of my neighbors in steady walkers. We want to walk for exercise but also to get to work. We would love to be able to walk from our homes to get to any of the Fairfax Connector Transit Stations. Unfortunately, it is not possible, simply because there are no sidewalks in many of the connecting roads.
I think we should all ask the County government to start taking action by "sidewalking"our roads. Hey, circunstamces have turned a lot of people into pedestrians. In the process we have lost a lot of pounds and feel much happier. So, pedestrians are here to stay, commuters on foot are not leaving. Please, Fairfax County Gov, get us get us safe sidewalks.
